Texan_Til_I_Die
The freezer was empty last weekend at deer camp so I decided to go shoot some quail for supper. We don't usually hunt quail until after deer season, but it was either that, make a trip to town to the grocery store, or shoot a deer. Me and another guy took a quick walk through the little 200 acre patch of brush right behind the old ranch house and immediately started busting birds. Took us about 2 hours to get these 24 quail into the bag. Not bad considering we weren't using a dog.
Tominator
Re: Broke out the shotgun! Wow, that's awesome! I can do that with rabbits (might do that tonight in fact with fresh snow on the ground), but not quail. I miss hunting quail.
