RangerClay
Re: Slug Gun Suggestions? [ QUOTE ] thanks for the info guys. I may just buy the slug barrel for my 870 and be done with it. I never use the ol 870 other than home protection, so I may convert it. [/ QUOTE ] If you already have an 870 than I would buy a rifled barrel for it. Get a variety of slugs and determine which one shoots best out of your gun. One more thing I would try if I were you. Since your 870 already has a smooth bore I would buy a box of Brenneke magnum slugs. They are made for a smooth bore. Try shooting a box through your barrel and see how it shoots. I bet you will be surprised That is what I do with my 16. ga. 1100 Ranger

tped
Re: Slug Gun Suggestions? I and a couple friends have the Ultra Slug Hunter and love them. Yes they are heavy which is a drawback but are fine for treestand hunting. Super accurate and you can't beat the price. Best value out there in my opinion.
