Get out there early and plan on sticking around for a while. If you beat them on their way to the bed, you're set. In the evenings I would get out there at least 2.5 hours before dark and get set up in the field (with the feeder). They will come back out to eat and you'll be waiting on them. In general conditions neither would, necessarily, be better then the other. They just need to be hunted at different times. Keep in mind that the rut is either running or firing up all over so if you see some does and decide to pass on them a buck (and possibly your bruiser) will be by on their tail.
