Bow Hunter Derek
Re: building a layout blind I have a buddy that built one out of a PVC frame and then used camo burlap on it. It worked pretty good, but kind of fell apart after a while. On top of that, he still had to lay on the cold wet ground. I've heard of others that have built them out of conduit frames too. I know the ones in the stores seem expensive, but they are so worth it. Now is the time to buy. Many places are marking waterfowl gear way down. Our local Gander Mountain has blinds at 20% off. I bought a new Final Approach SUB in kakie a couple weeks ago for $160. That is a heck of a deal. I already had an original Final Approach, but the deal was too good to pass up. Another source for deals is to watch the waterfowl web sites. A lot of guys sell their slightly used blinds to buy new ones. You can get some good used blinds or even close out models at some good prices.
