tactics for coyotes?

How does everyone hunt coyotes? what kind of tactics are successful? Want to start hunting them but dont really know where to start.

Daytime I wear full camo and try to find a spot where I can see a long distance (at least 200 yards) in most directions, especially down wind. I like a mouth blown call and usually call for about 1 minute, quit for 5, then call again for 1 minute, quit for 5, etc until I've gone 30 minutes without seeing anything. If I shoot, I reset my "timer" and go another 30 minutes.

Night time I like to use 2 people, an electronic call and call from the back of a pickup or jeep. I usually turn the player on and just let it run, varying the volume every few minutes. I use a red lense spotlight and sweep the area around me every 30 seconds or so. Visibility of about 100 yards is plenty since the varmints aren't as likely to spook at night. I keep the light slightly elevated until ready to shoot, then drop it and hit them full in the face with the beam. You typically have about 4 - 5 seconds to get a shot off. At night I like to keep 2 guns ready - a rifle (223 or 220 Swift) and a shotgun loaded with 3 inch #2 buck. Sometimes they'll get real close before you see them and the shotgun is excellent for that.

I hunt them in PA just the way the guy said above. It works great and yesturday I shot a 42 pound coyote and a nice red fox in about 20 minutes.
