popgun
In my opinion...The best in-line muzzleloader on the market. Go to: http://dougva.proboards34.com/index.cgi All the information you will ever need to know about it is available at this web forum. Everyone will be more than glad to help you out with loads and recommendations, and they know a lot more than I do about it. ....popgun
AJ
Re: Savage smokeless powder muzzleloader Its not new. Its been out for 5 years now. I have had mine for a couple seasons now. I love it. I agree with popgun, its the best ML on the market. Its stronger than any T/C, Knight, AH, CVA, etc. It's definately one of the most versitile guns made, as you can shoot black powder, Pyrodex, T7, or smokeless powder. Doug's board is a very good place for data on the Sav 10 ML. Members there know more about it than Savage does. Not just your wannabe muzzleloading gurus trying to make a buck, but people with actual first hand measured data and are willing to help others. Guest BigAl1781
Re: Savage smokeless powder muzzleloader if you shoot 100gr of t7 what would that be in smokless powder? just curious
maytom
Re: Savage smokeless powder muzzleloader While I never shot one before, I didn't like the very heavy muzzle feeling while handling the stainless/composite stock version at the gun shop. I wonder if the laminated stock version feels better balanced?

AJ
Re: Savage smokeless powder muzzleloader Yes, it is more balanced, but its heavy. When you start getting up there in the load data, you want every ounce of that weight also. This is some factory recommended data from Savage. Recommended Powder Loads Just like reloading, a thorough understanding of internal ballistics is needed to step outside these guidelines. Having said that, there are other suitable powders that perform very well (often better) than what the factory recommends.
