VtBowhunter
Start out at about 5 yards. Take a shot. If the shot is high, then move the sight up..........if it's low move it down........if it's left move it left..........and if it's right then move the sight right. You always chase the arrow with your sight's movement. After you get close at 5 yards, step back to 20 yards, then 30 yards. When you get 30 dialed in for centerline (left and right) then you shouldn't need to touch it again for centershot. Then you can go back and sight in for 40. Getting the centershot is the tough part but once you have it all you need to do is get your yardages down.

Straight Shooter
Re: sighting in a new bow Vt hit it with the sights. Did the bow come with a rest on it or did you put in on yourself? Regardless, you need to check for arrow flight, having your sights set to yardage. Will not do you any good on arrow flight. Take the bow to a Pro Shop and have them make sure everything is good and square. Good luck with your new bow and best of luck to you breaking it in on a deer. hutchies
Re: sighting in a new bow Hey bud go over to Bass Pro and have Damien or Chris take a look at it. Those guys do good work. Charles is the Archery department manager and a great guy. When I had problems with my last bow they took great care of me. I live in Durant, OK. If you need any help with anything shoot me a pm. magnatecsteve
Re: sighting in a new bow Sights are the LAST thing you adjust. Your timing needs checked, your rest and nock point should be adjusted for center, ...then you sight in. My suggestion is to go to a pro-shop first to save alot of headache before trying to sight it in. Best of luck!!
