Guest Andrea
Okay, how do most of ya'll cook your squirrel? Think the only way I've seen it done is frying it. I don't eat it, just curious how many ways there are to fix it. Maybe make it more appealing.

RangerClay
Re: Squirrel recipes? Andrea, Take the squirrels and quarter them, be sure to include the lower backs. Put the quarters in a pot and put on a low boil for 1 hour. After 1 hour is up dump the pieces in a colandar to cool for 15 minutes. Peel the meat chunks off the bone. I then throw the chunks into a stir fry and serve over rice. If you have a wok like I do, you can start the stir fry while the squirrel is cooking. I made this last year year after we had a couple visitors in the bird feeder Joe

Tominator
Re: Squirrel recipes? When I ate them, I stuck them in a crock, deboned and added normal stew stuff. It was OK. I don't care for squirrel, but some do I know, and squirrel in the crock is pretty good.
