MossySNPR
I was wondering, do the bucks move at all during a pretty decent snowstorm? I know the bucks that are visiting my apple pile are only doing it at dawn and dusk. If the storm continues, 1. Will they move to their food source despite the heavy snowfall? 2. Also, will they move alot RIGHT after the storm?

QDMAworks4me
Re: Snowstorm Bucks In my experience I have seen really big bucks shot during snow storms. My cousin shot one of the biggest bucks of his life during a snow storm. The deer came right under the stand that is the only reason he saw the buck. I have shot deer in hail storms and snow storms also. I do find that just before a storm is a great time to be in the woods also.

rockefeller66
Re: Snowstorm Bucks I guess deer are supposed to move earlyier and more often right before and after a big snow storm, but opening shotgun season it was snowing HARD, no wind just lots of heavy snow and visibilty was low, but my dad seen a lot of deer in the morning and shot a buck during the snow storm. By the time he went to go find it, it had been like 20 minutes and the deer was almost covered.
wtnhunt
Re: Snowstorm Bucks Would think they would move good before and after a front moves through. Dont get enough snow here to really notice if there is any difference in deer movement when it snows.

LETMGROW
Re: Snowstorm Bucks Seems to make a difference how often you get snow. First couple storms deer don't seem to move. After that they seem to get used to the idea. Unpredictable as always.
