Bow Hunter Derek
I'd take him up on the Leaf River, assuming it is the one with the LCD screen. The 256 Mb card and Python cable make that a reasonable deal (no steal, but still $30 to $35 cheaper than if you order the camera from Cabela's and then pick up the card and cable.) I've got the new Leaf River and love it. There are a couple others on here that have it as well. Excellent cameras. They are getting great reviews at other sites as well. The quality is first rate, the customer service is great (from what I've heard), and the battery life is amazing. Mine has been in the woods for 6 weeks now and shows full batteries. It has taken well over 100 pictures, most using the flash. Look at my post "Indiana Stud 9 Pointer" from a week or so ago to see the picture quality. I'd recommend picking up a second memory card that way you can just swap cards in the field. Then get a card reader for your home computer. preacherman
Re: Opinions on digital cameras Read the instructions. You can set the camera to take pics every 1 to 90 minutes. I have mine set up to take pics every 5 minutes and to my knowledge, haven't gotten alot of the same deer. You are going to LOVE IT!!!!!!! wtnhunt
Re: Opinions on digital cameras That big a card should hold a lot of pics. Last year I had my stealth cam set at one minute spacing this time of the year and had 4 different bucks at the cam in less than 5 minutes. Had i had it at a 5 minute delay, would never have seen the second and third bucks which were both nice bucks. If it was me I would set the digital at a pic every minute or try the video clips at short segments set to go off every minute or so.
