What turkey guns have you owned?

I've had a Winchester Ranger 120 (Killed my first bird), a Mossberg 500, Remington 870 NWTF Edition, a Remington 11-87 SPS-T, a Remington 870 SPS Super Magnum, A Browning Gold NWTF Edition, and am currently shooting a Benelli SBE Steady Grip. Out of these I like the Benelli best because of the Steady Grip. To me this is the best feeling shotgun I've ever felt. What have you all had?

I shot my first with a JC Higgin's Twelve with Poly Choke. Next came an American Arm's 10 Gauge Double that I swear I wish I had back, that was the best patterning shotgun ever with standard Federal 6's. Then came a Humpback Browning 12, then a Remington SP10 guage Magnum. She's killed the majority of my birds. Covers up a pattern with Nitro Ray's 4x5x7.5 loads.

I still want a double triggered side by side 12 with chokes, one with modified and one with x-full.

Had a couple Winchester 1300's with the laminated stocks a long time ago, and sold them when going to grad school, then had a 870 express with a short barrel.

Now I run with a Browning BPS stalker with a 24 inch barrel. Much better fit and comfortable to shoot for me.

I use my 870 Wingmaster that I bought 35 years ago. It only shoots 2 3/4" shells but that's plenty IMO. I use a standard full choke tube in a 30" barrel.

Re: What turkey guns have you owned?

I won a Remington 870 at a NWTF banquet. Not a real expensive gun but nice. I bought a lower priced camo stock and forend and an extended turkey choke with magnaporting. It looks good and shoots even better than it looks.

Born2Hunt talked me into buying an NEF 10 ga. at a gun show which was claimed as only being shot once. This was probably true! Now it has been shot twice. Back to the 12 ga. 870. I also have several Rem. 1100's one of which I have hunted turkey with. Only reason I have gone to the 870 is because the 1100's are only 2 3/4 in. chambering. The 870 will handle 3".
