Squirrelhunter91
New York Planning 4-year Wild Turkey Study ALBANY, NY-The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) announced last week it's preparing for the first major field assessment of wild turkey harvest management in the state since the 1970s. The 4-year study is being done in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, researchers from Pennsylvania State University and the National Wild Turkey Federation. The study results will give wildlife managers current estimates of harvest rates for male wild turkeys in New York as well as guide future management efforts. I wonder why they won't do this with the deer...
