Northern NY is getting HAMMERED!

Man we are just getting pounded with what started as freezing rain, then sleet and now snow. The accumulation is already about 4-6" and it is supposed to continue all day into this evening! This sucks. As for you southerners, this is about the worst combination you can have because first the ice on the roads makes them slippery, then the snow on top of that makes it so when they plow, it just glazes the ice to a real nice sheen and makes it extremely slippery. Had it occurred the other way (snow first then ice), it would have been so much better. They leave the snow until the ice accumulates on top of the snow, then plow it all at once. The ice comes right up with the snow. Be safe everyone...its here to stay now.

Thanks to that storm, I got the day off yesterday. If your storm is anything like our storm, it's going to last all day. crazy.gif

HEY! I got a snow day today. It's now 2pm here in NY and the snow has stopped. Went to clean out the the driveway and all the snow slid off the roof. Now I have twice as much to clean up. Will probably be out there for a couple hours with the snowblower mad.gif

I live in the southern tier of western NY and it is fun right now to see Buffalo NY just about shut down, lol! Ok, maybe it isn't fun for everyone but it quit snowing in my area and is just cold and cloudy. Good luck my fellow NYer's:-) and everyone else (can't leave Tominator out of this, lol)
