dodge4x4
You gotta love this. The other day, we're sitting in class at highschool. Before I go any farther, y'all have to know that there are 11 of us here who have big, huge trucks with winches, towbars, hitches, or plows...and ALL of us have 4 wheel drive. So now...ALL of us got little notes from the office the other day saying "Please report to the office immediately, bring your books." So we all go down there (and we go to a little small town school) and they wanted us to go along and like patrol and drive the main 3 roads out of town and make sure every one got there alright, and we pulled 'em out if we need. (For what ever reason, not all of the real snow plows were out, so the roads weren't getting cleared at all.) I only had to pull 2 people out, but one of my buddy's had to pull 6. It was crazy....everyone else got out had 2:05, and we got out at 1:30 to go out and be gettin our chains and tow-straps ready. I have never even heard of this, and we have never had to do it before, but it was pretty fun, and I wouldn't mind having to do it again. LOL! Have any of you guys and your schools ever had to do this at all?

Alisha
Re: Snow days....and big trucks! There's a guy around here that has a one of those old suburbans that's lifted with big tires, etc... and the only days he brings it out is when it has snowed out. He'll drive around until he finds someone stuck in a ditch or whatever, asks if they'd like a little help and if they say yeah.... then he brings a big chain out, hooks to em and gives em a lil pull. We've talked to him before and he claims to have made a couple hundred $$$ in one day just by doing this for folks. I thought it was pretty neat... Guest fourtrax_300
Re: Snow days....and big trucks! sounds cool, the school dosnt let us do this but we do it after school and on snow days. tons of people around here dont know have to drive in the snow and ice and they will slide into a ditch and me and my buddies always have chains and tow straps in our 4x4's so we stop and ask if they need a pull. dont ever ask for money by they normally wil pay you $5 or $10 ! VtBowhunter
Re: Snow days....and big trucks! Around here if the school asked students to do that, the school would be liable for any damages done to vehicles and injuries suffered by folks.........so nope, never had that happen around here.
