MUDRUNNER
The loc-on stand thread put me in the mood to look for a new stand for next year.I have some new property to hunt and plan on putting up a couple of loc-ons and leaving them up all season.I came across a Hunters View Razorback stand on sale for $39.99,and if I buy this weekend there is no sales tax at this perticular store.I have a API loc-on and like it,but I paid around 100 bucks for it a few years ago.For 40 bucks this seems like a bargain to me.It has a 24x30 platform, which is pretty good size.It weighs 17lbs,and comes with backpack straps and a harness. What do you think? Is it worth picking a couple up this weekend? HarvDog
Re: Hunters View Treestands I like my Hunter View hang-on stand. It's a nice little stand but not the greatest for an all day hunt unless you want to keep standing up alot. Can't go wrong for the price though! Illinoisbowhunter
Re: Hunters View Treestands Ive got two Hunter's view Razorback loc-ons I purchased this fall right before season. They are great stands for the price. The best thing I like about the Razorback is its got a pretty decent size platform, which is one thing I was considering. They also come with a good ratchet strap, and overall the seat is pretty comfortable. Not quite as cozy as my Ol' Man climber but you can sit a while, without having to stand up. I would also suggest looking into the climbing sticks, they make great setups, very quick and easy.
FSU_Seminole
Re: Hunters View Treestands [ QUOTE ] I just purchased a Hunters View hang on this fall. It's a very nice stand except for the seat pad. It's not very quiet, it squeaks if you make the slightest movement. I had to take it off mid way through a hunt this past October. Anyone else have this problem? [/ QUOTE ] Have the same exact problem with their tri pod seats.
MUDRUNNER
Re: Hunters View Treestands Well,I picked one up today.Man,that is a nice size platform.I have a sister in law that makes couch cushions,so if I have problems with the seat noise I'll have her sew me up sumpin nice. For 40 bucks this thing looks like a heck of a deal. The store was Rural King,so if any of you have one close they had pretty good deals on most of their stands. GWSmith
Re: Hunters View Treestands A tip to make your stand less noisey is to lay the platform on a hard floor and walk on it...all of the platform. It will take out all of the "Pop's". The only noise I had from my 2 Hunter's View stands was from the metal parts where the ratchet straps hook on the stand. I tightened mine all the way down after getting them in the right position and it stopped all the noise.

Sometimes it makes noise sometimes it doesn't.

Good luck hunting from it!
