WHISKEYSWAMP
Re: Who Bowhunts In The snow? We've had snow for nearly 3 weeks now... I've been hunting almost every night after work and in the afternoons on the weekends. Hopefully the snow sticks around for the ML season next week... I'm ready to reach out touch something with the Encore.. I have not had much luck with the bow. The deer just don't want to cooperate.. ladydiehard
Re: Who Bowhunts In The snow? I plan to be out this friday and saturday and some next week too. Will be my first "late season" bow hunting experience. Still looking for my first bow kill. The sign around my stands is incredible and I'm excited! We have about a foot of snow on the ground and its beautiful in the woods!

BowJoe
Re: Who Bowhunts In The snow? I found that hunting in a stand as high as you can on a bluff or something is one of the most efficient ways. I hunt where I can see the deer moving through large wooded areas. I can almost guarantee that if you move your stand to that area and the deer were undisturbed you will get a shot. Deer don't like to change much when weather gets bad or snows on the ground. Why go take a chance for food when you have a sure thing somewhere on the trail? Most deer follow trails pretty steady since when in that weather the faster you get to food the better and the less energy is expounded.
