Re: USC or Texas?

I'm pulling for Texas just because it would be nice to say, "well, Ohio State lost to the eventual National Champs......"

The only way USC will lose is if they beat themselves. USC has better athletes top to bottom.

Stranger things have happened. Ohio State beat Miami a few years ago on heart. Top to bottom, Miami was more talented than Ohio State, but heart won that game, and Texas might prove to have more heart.

They also lost to Penn State.............. grin.gif

I think this is going to be a great game, but I'm going with USC. I think there is alot of pressure on Texas because they still have that "choke in big games" label and I expect USC to come out much more loose....plus Texas has to try and tackle Reggie Bush. crazy.gif

My money is on the Trojans. Bush is going to rush for at least 200 and Leinart will be out to show that he should be the Heisman runner up, not Vince.

Besides t.u. always chokes in the big game. They didn't beat Ohio State, Ohio State beat themselves.

Beat the He** outta t.u.

Gig 'Em

Im going for USC, because Im sick of USC maybe just maybe if they win and Bush comes out. Then Carroll will take a job in the NFL hopefully for his sake not Detriot(no pun to any Detriot fans). But Im over the Trojans...To me its one thing to be so highly regarded when a team can do what they have coming out of the Big 10, ACC, SEC but the Pac-10? What UCLA the only other ranked team? Come on fellers play someone. They know they got lucky against ND.

gunna have to disagree...they both play in a pretty weak conferences and although you can make the claim that USC play's nobody...you have to look at the fact that they are BEATING nobody and beating them big....they average 50 points a game and beat thier opponents by and average of over 28 points a game....Texas played 3 top 25 teams one of them which was #4 ohio state and won that game by a mere 3 points...USC played 5 top 25 teams and thier closest was Notre Dame...say what you want about the leinart being pushed ion the end zone on that final score...i can't remember a game where i haven't seen a RB get at least a little push from a lineman on at least one run...plus..if ND would have kept them from driving down the field at the end of the game then they wouldn't have been put in that situation.....now...as for the Rose Bowl....i think this is going to be a pretty close game in the first 3 quarters...but i think USC has to many weapons for Texas to handle...the only threat for texas on offense is vince young...Texas' top 2 recievers combined have as many yards and less TD's combined than USC top WR...and young is there leading RB by around 200 yards....thier defense is going to keep them in the game but towards the end they are going to get tired and thats when USC will take the lead....i'm guessing a final score of 38-20 USC on top
