maddhunter
This morning I had 3 doe(1 mature & 2 yearlings) come through. Then not long after a spike came through trailing the does. His tail was going crazy, first it was straight out, then down, then up. Not sure if maybe one of the yearlings may have been in heat. I decided to mess with him so I called using THE CAN, grunted and snort and wheezed. After I wheezed he stopped, look around, and then was back on the trail again. Anyone else having this happen? G-Daddy
Re: ANYONE HAVING A 2nd RUT?????????? I was hunting on Chincoteague NWR on Monday and Tuesday. Saw a huge 8 point trailing does and putting a lot of pressure on them. Unfortunately, you could only shoot whitetails the week before on the refuge even though the VA season was still in. Tominator
Re: ANYONE HAVING A 2nd RUT?????????? I dropped my kids off at Sunday school, and on my way home I saw a decent 6 pt (oxymoron, I know), standing guard over a presumably hot doe. I doubled back and got a closer look, and he never moved, so yeah, I think there's the odd hot doe or fawn running around here.
