Would you keep this buck?

That deer would be perfectly fine to keep. My friend shot a doe the first week of archery season in PA right at dark. He knew he hit it, but we found not a single drip of blood so we gave up looking around 11pm and decided to start again in the morning. The low over night was in the 50`s and we found the deer first thing in the morning, we gutted it, skinned it, and took it to the butcher right away and he said the deer meat was good. If his deer was alright i would defidently think yours is. Congrats on finding it!

Re: Would you keep this buck?

Heck, I've had to go back the next day many times to find a deer I shot the night before. Even in warm weather there is no problem.

It takes a lot more time, than 24 hrs or so, before the meat will even begin to go bad. crazy.gif

Your friends don't know what they're talking about. crazy.gif
