Tim Andrus
Hey folks, This coming february I think Ill be in town at Cabelas( Ft Worth) for the spring expo. So I thought Id see whats in season, maybe do a little hunting. I know hogs are open, is hard to get on land to hunt them? Any ideas or thought appreciated. Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: need info from texas members Quail season is still open. You'll need to head west of Ft Worth to get into some good quail. That's about it other than exotics. A hog hunt should be easy to set up. Most of the landowners will let you hunt (unguided) for around $50 - $100 per day and take as many hogs as you want. Guided trips with accomodations run a bit more. hutchies
Re: need info from texas members I have to agree with Texan.........Hog hunting will probably be the best way to go. It won't cost you much because most farmers want the hogs gone. Also you might try to do a little coyote huntin. There are tons of them down here.
