Re: Arrow Wrapps do they change......?

not really, but you should wrap your hunting arrows and your practice arrows alike. 7" wraps can add up to about 10 grains of weight to the back end of teh arrow, it shouldn't effect teh arrow flight unless you are on the brink of being overspined. the aded weight will make you over spined.... i shoot for and use Arrowwraps unlimited. great product and easy to use.

it comes down to the 10 grains of extra weight slightly affecting the trajectory. Save your self some time and go ahead and wrap them all, if you don't you'll always be wanting to shoot you "pretty" hunting arrows during practice. smile.gif

I wrap all of mine so that I will never have to scrape glue again.

me too--if worried about the extra weight then just refletch them with the Blazer vanes. Then your weight will be really close to the same as just 3 four inch plastic vanes. I use feathers with my vanes. Once you use them I think you'll love them--no more glue scraping.

Re: Arrow Wrapps do they change......?

"they have no effect"........That is true, most of teh time, but like i said, if you are on the border of being over spined it can, especially with reflective wraps. They (7" wraps) weigh in at 25.3 grains. Over spined means your arrow is too stiff, adding weight to the back of an arrow increases the spine. ...you should be fine if you equiptment is tuned properly, but they CAN effect teh flight if you are on the edge.

I doubt even the most seasoned archer could tell the difference in flight from one with and one without. However adding weight to the rear of the arrow will stiffen the spine as adding weight to the front will weaken spine.

Like Jake had mentioned, if your on the edge of to much spine, you may start to see willey arrow flight out of some of your arrows.

I suggest you practice with wraps.

JMO, but I always use the exact same arrow set up to practice with as I hunt with.

Just seems logical to do so.

They are not so expensive or time consuming that you should not do this.

Again, JMOs...
