AJ
I use both. I use the Vari-Flame Adapters in my Knights that use the Disc with small rifle primers. The accuracy is much better (50%) and the crud in the barrel is reduced a lot also. I use the .25 ACP breechplug in my Encore 209x50 handgun. The crud ring was nasty with 209 primers. now its like it does not exist. It just has even fouling. My accuracy is as good but now I can shoot a couple shots without cleaning and keep the same accuracy. The drop at 100 yards is consistant with what it was before. I am happy with them. I also use small rifle primers in the .25 ACP cases. Another benefit to the .25 ACP case is there is no blow back into the receiver. The case is spotless after the shot and the firing pin is clean. That alone is reason enough for me to use it.
AJ
Re: vari-flame, acp conversion kits? I definately recommend the .25 ACP breechplug. Its a bit pricey, but it seals everything up nice and tight and the .25 ACP cases are very cheap. An added bonus is they are easy to handle. I use the T/C speed loaders and the ACP cases fit in the slot for the 209. They are perfect (so far).
