Witnessed something terrible last night.

I was driving to my brother and sister-in-law's house last night and noticed something flickering in the window of a house down the street. Something just didn't look right so I turned around. When I got in front of the house I noticed the flickering intensifying. All of the sudden the curtains went up in flames. shocked.gif I immediately called 911 and reported the fire. There didn't appear to be anyone home but it only took a matter of seconds for the flames to engulf the side of the house. Flames were shooting out of two windows and quickly reached the roof. It was shocking how quickly the fire spread.

I drove by the house on the way to work this morning and it's a total loss. I also found out this morning from our local Red Cross that no one was home and their needs were being met by local community members and local churches.

Keep this family in your thoughts as we go through the Christmas and New Year Holidays and remember to be safe.

Re: Witnessed something terrible last night.

It's very tough to replace houses and material things but replacing a life is impossible. Hard to believe that doing something to show your CHRISTmas Spirit can end up showing your communitie's CHRISTmas Spirit instead. Prayers and best wishes to that family and to everyone's family as we try to all celebrate CHRISTmas and the birth of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Merry CHRISTmas everyone!!!
