Re: No plow nutrition plot

sure--the no plow will work just fine but just remember the more soil preperation you do the better the plot will turn out.

I would recommend doing something to disturb the soil to ensure good soil-seed contact. Remove all the debris from the ground--rocks, limbs/sticks, leaves so the seeds can reach the dirt. I'd also get a rake and scrape the soil. Broadcast the seed then try to pack the seed into the soil. Driving over the seed with a tractor or an ATV will work fine. If your soil has a little moisture also this will help pack the seed down or even broadcasting the seed during a rain. The rain drops will help cover the seed also.

Re: No plow nutrition plot

If you are starting on a new plot...could I suggest going with an annual that you would be able to apply a selective herbicide to during the season to eliminate weeds and unwanted grasses....getting a mix, (note: I don't know what is in the mix), you can end up with plants from all over the spectrum, leaving you little room for selective herbicide treatments. I would suggest a good legume, clover, trefoil, alfalfa...get you soil test and lime away! Good luck!
