dogdoc
do you have any specific questions? I'd skip the corn and go with a nice year round perennial food plot! todd
Ravin R10 man
Re: Corn vs. Biologic Thats not enough corn to feed the birds let alone deer..you need at least 3 acres of corn minumum or, do a 5 acre winter plot
wtnhunt
Re: Corn vs. Biologic A good perenial plot would also be my suggestion.
dogdoc
Re: Corn vs. Biologic [ QUOTE ] Yeah but I am talking about a row of corn from end to end.. With spaces between them with a nutrition plot between each one..I dont know if thats a good or bad Idea...Is it? Like I said I am open to any suggestions, I just need a way to draw them in earlier. [/ QUOTE ] I think that would be a great idea. Of course the deer will eat the corn but what I think is more important to get deer to use plots in the daylight is security. If the acre your talking about is an open field with little cover then the deer will mainly only use that during the protection of night. Corn provides a lot of security to the deer---I'd recommend giving it a try next year and see how it works out. best of luck todd
