dogdoc
I'm wanting to purchase a sound enhancer/hearing protector--something like the Walker Game Ear. I don't want the large muffs as they look uncomfortable to wear for several hours in the duck blind. I usually just wear the foam ear plugs but I miss being able to hear the ducks buzz by me or the "light" quack of that single bird above the decoys. Just wondering what you guys might recommend and for any Walker Game Ear users if you are happy with their product? thanks todd
ruttinbuc
Re: Hearing protection/game ear???? I have a Radians hearing enhancer. It works just like the Walker's game ear for half the price of the original. It works and it does have a compression circuit. You can tune the device to your liking. The only complaint is that it feeds back every now and then. It is a matter of adjusting the volume and keeping it from being covered by a collar or a hat. dogdoc
Re: Hearing protection/game ear???? hey rut--can you not keep it covered with like a stocking cap?---me ears have tendency to get cold in the duck blind
ruttinbuc
Re: Hearing protection/game ear???? Todd, I know what you mean about cold ears. You may be able to adjust that volume, but then it may defeat the whole purpose of the enhancer. You need to keep the front of the device open. Have a Merry Christmas!
