Tominator
Going duck/goose hunting for the first time tomorrow with my buddy ohiobucks. I don't think he enjoys wingshooting nearly as much as I do, but tomorrow I get to combine 2 of my favorite past times--shooting (hopefully), and hanging out with the buddies. Tom got a few ducks today, but like I said, he doesn't enjoy that hunting too much, so I guess that's why you guys didn't get any pictures or at least a story. Hopefully I'll be able to get a few pictures tomorrow, and I'll give a full report, birds or not.

Tominator
Re: Yeah Baby! Well, thanks to my masterful calling, , my buddy Tom, and his good buddy Greg got most of the shots today. j/k. It was fun, although the other 3 guys in the group tell me that today was nothing like yesterday. Still we had 2 or 3 groups of geese come in to the deeks, and 2 sets of ducks. The only real shot I had was on a drake mallard that flew right over us, and I dropped a mean empty chamber on him. (I had unloaded my gun when I crossed a creek. Could have sworn I reloaded ) Anyway, bluebird skies, and no wind made for a lot of funny stories while laying in a field. Here's ohiobucks and his game bag for the day. I'll just say, the boy can flat out shoot.

Ohiobucks
Re: Yeah Baby! Yep, that was some fun! That duck is missing a head and part of it's neck for one reason.....he wouldn't sit still after he hit the ground. If he just would have let me catch him and ring his neck properly, this picture would look alot better. I mean, look at me and my three chins - do I look like I want to chase a wounded duck across a picked corn field? Hey Chris, should have been there the day before! Duck clouds and geese hitting the ground HARD!

Anyway, I had a great time watching you and Greg drop birds. Watching you watch your good buddy fist pump and holler was all I needed, I don't even need to pull the trigger when I see that pride in your eyes.
