We jumped a total of about 12-15 rabbits. Not a single one was killed.lol. In the area we were huntin, you only see the rabbits for a second or two and they're gone. You gotta be ready, and quick to shoot if you see them. We also jumped a buncha quail, didn't kill any of them either though. Oh well, hopefully we'll shoot a little better next time. Tominator Posted January 2, 2006 Report Share Posted January 2, 2006 Re: rabbits I bumped 4 bunnies today, but I was out walking around on the last day of pheasant hunting, so I spared them. 2 would have been easy shots as I bumped one out in the middle of a picked corn field, another one hopped twice and stopped only 15 yards away from me. [/ QUOTE ] I've haven't shot any Rabbits in two years. Last one I got was in KY. Seems like the Rabbit numbers have been low ever since we had terrible winter conditions here in SW Indiana in the late '70's.
