Re: Must read!!!! NEED HELP

i'm not sure to tell you the truth. after i kill a deer i dont hunt the area where the gut pile is.

not if i didnt have another good spot to hunt would go ahead and try it. i mean you alrady killed one deer which mean s meat in the freezer so if you dont kill antother cause of the blood would it be that big of a los to you ?

Blood and hair will not spook deer, in fact, the smell left behind from dragging your deer out, is better than a drag rag.

Hunt over it soon wink.gif

I'm not kidding you, you've got a better set-up now than you did before you got that deer and dragged it out...hunt it. (and let us know how you do eh grin.gif)

Re: Must read!!!! NEED HELP

Heres a story from this past bow season. I smoke one out of a stand one morning shot right down through it and dropped it. gutted the thing 16 yards from my tree, i was lazy. Well next morning a nice little six point walked no more then 3 feet from the previous days gut pile and bedded down about 30 yards from it. I think during bow season it doesnt really effect things alot, but during gun season with the extra noise from the shot and such it may have more of an effect but I really dont know. If its your go to area I'd probaly hunt there tonight.

what is with everyone and the gut piles? gut em somewhere else. but anyway i would hunt it. i killed a deer last year, and while i was still in the tree a bigger one walked up 10 minutes later. didnt pay any attention to the blood or dead deer that it just walked passed and walked right into my 7 mag. hope this helps.
