My guess is he doesnt like the feel of the organs and such on his hands. I know people that use latex gloves but that is just for sanitary reasons.

WELL DUH...! The leather will absorb blood! Guess he just likes the FEEL of wet leather!

Actually, I do like the feel of wet leather..... But that's a whole other story.....

Left the rubber gloves at home, had some cuts on my hands...... worked with what I had available.......

The gloves are a little discolored, but totally fine....after washing them.....

Hey I use those blue nitride gloves when I work on cars but that is only because something they put in the oil and expecially the transmission fluid causes my hands to blister. But I would use them on deer just because its easier to wash up later. It just seems like persional prefernce to me.

I used to gut deer all natural, but have become older and wiser. I use the blue nitrile gloves and sometimes the shoulder length palpating gloves. Keep both in my pack along with some sanitary wipes. Nothing wrong with keeping clean, I can have a deer gutted in three minutes and not have any blood on my hands.

I like using the gloves no matter the season. In the early fall mesquitos attack blood soaked hands and in the later season the blood freezes on your hands like dipping them in cold water. Some people just have a warped sense of what a real deer hunter is. Now if you had said that I wasn't a real deer gutter then I am inclined to see your point more. Since it is a dead deer that I hunted and killed then I think that makes me a deer hunter no matter what I do after the deer is dead. Make sure you have a good connection between your fingers and your brain. LOL
