Re: Pursuit Pro problems

It is a problem, I was using federals and it was doing the same thing you would have to slam it shut a few times to get it to lock, I switched to the Kleanbores and it closed easy but they formed a crud ring so I switched back to the federals and I guess with the gun being shot a few times it broke in because it wasn't a issue anymore. One guy I know took each primer and "slammed" them a few times and put them back in the box so the next time he loaded they would close. Call Traditions they have a different breech plug they will sell you that will fix the problem they will also tell you which primers work best out of the one you have. They should just give us the right one with no charge in my opinion.

Traditions says. They give you two options to solve their problem. Call them and they'll tell you what primers work in your gun with the finicky breechplug or just send us some money and we will sell you a new breechplug to take care of the problem.

Slamming the gun closed on primers and putting them back in the box for future use doesn't seem to be a real good solution to the problem. There's also another reply where the shooter says if he don't slam the gun closed on a Winchester primer the gun opens when he fires it. That not an inconvenience thats a safety issue.

I know how I'd fix that problem. I'd sell it and pickup a T/C Omega or Encore. I've used Winchester, Remngton and CCI primers in my Encore and never had a problem.

Good luck
