maddhunter
I have seen bobcats on the property I hunt but have never hunted them. What is the best time to hunt them and what calls work best?
Squirrelhunter91
Re: Best Way To Hunt Bobcats??????? Just hunt bobcats the way you would coyotes.. Bobcats just take a little longer to come to the call than coyotes. The only bobcat I have ever been around was shot at dusk while deer hunting. The fella was getting ready to leave his stand and then he saw the bobcat coming so he shot.. lol.. Rabbit distress should work just fine if the cat hasn't heard it before. If they are hip to that call, try a bird distress or something like that..
jcwa
Re: Best Way To Hunt Bobcats??????? Early morning and evening are the best times to call, but bobcats can be called in any time of the day. Use cottontail distress and woodpecker distress sounds. Adding a moving decoy to your setup will help draw them in closer.
