ODH
Just wondering how many stand setups you used this past bow season.
Straight Shooter
Re: Stands Two stands, but twenty different trees. The joy of hunting out of a API bowhunter, gets you mobile, agile, and hostile on the deer. LOL
magnatecsteve
Re: Stands My primary woods...7 stands. My secondary only 2 stands.
Chrud
Re: Stands I had several different stands and blinds. My most productive for seeing deer was a stand in a finger that partially seperates two wheat fields. My killing stand was way back in the woods along an old logging road and next to a very small waterhole. Lots of oaks around too.

Mirage
Re: Stands i hunted several diff. spots this season, four deer total all from diff. spots, i use a climber stand and seldom hunt the same tree more then 2 days in a row, try to keep the deer from figuring out where im at and seem to always be lucky when im in a new spot. Maybe its in my head but always works out that way

rockefeller66
Re: Stands we had 5 setup and I sat in one of them the first day hunting and that was it! The rest of the year I just stood on the ground by trees with my bow and had way better luck, I eventually shot a 147" 10 pt. and passed up 12+ other deer, and of course those smart old does gave me the slip a number of times! I'll get them during the late season!
