TexasDeerHunter
My hat is off to Remington Core-Lokt ammo. I recently went to Kansas and was able to score on three deer. One was a 200lb plus whitetail doe that I shot at nearly 400 yards with a Remington 700cdl in 30-06 using 150gr Core-Lokt. Double lung hit that went in and out. I was amazed at the penetration at that range. Needless to say, she is in the freezer.

wtnhunt
Re: Remington Core-Lokt Been using core lokts with my model 700 for about 9 years. Have been pretty happy with the performance of the 150 grain core lokts with my .270.
too_pointer
Re: Remington Core-Lokt I have shot them for years in my .270. I plan on buying some 120 grn. ones for my 25-06 when the barrel gets here . Darn good shells I think too_
FSU_Seminole
Re: Remington Core-Lokt I use to use the OLD Remington Express Core Lokts in my 7400 30.06 when I was a teenager. I never had a deer run more than 20 yards with those bullets & had several drop in their tracks. For some odd reason I switched to Hornady & a few other brands I guess of bordem. Now I'm shooting the Core Lokt ultras in my 06 700 & I won't ever switch to anything else. I shoot Remington Accu Tips in my .270 & their awesome bullets to. I shot a 7 pointer with that load in October & he went down hard.
dogdoc
Re: Remington Core-Lokt i've shot the core lokts exclusively in my .25-06 for the last 3 years---several deer and numerous hogs have found their way to my freezer with that bullet. too_pointer
Re: Remington Core-Lokt doc, what grain are you using ? I bought a box of 120 grn. 25-06 last nite to try. I will still buy another brand just to see if it shoots better or worse Mike

njbowhntr
Re: Remington Core-Lokt I shot a deer this past year in WV with my 7mm STW using the Core-Lokt 140gr. I completely shattered his left front shoulder, he was quartered towards me. Then I shot another deer with it the same week. I shoot a lame button buck, hit him at 50 yards. Did not make a good shot by my standards, liver shot. But, I did suck half the liver out the other side of his body. I am hooked. I do want to shoot a heavier bullet though. I can buy the Core-Lokts in 150 or 160 grains in bulk to reload.
Guest lilcrackshot
Re: Remington Core-Lokt I use the 165 grains Remington Core-Lokts in my Model 700 and in my model 7600 and they both perform great.
David_218
Re: Remington Core-Lokt While Remington's Core-Lokt bullets are okay & fine; I prefer Winchester's (Old style) Silvertip expanding bullets.

silvertip_co
Re: Remington Core-Lokt I like em cause Walmart sells em 2.00 a box cheaper than any other. And I can still cover three shots with a quarter at 100yrds.
