Re: Ohio 9 pt.

As I was sitting in my stand yesterday morning the day started out as usual. I saw a 8 pt. and a 4 pt., which I have saw them both every day for the last week, and a few does. It had to be close to 8 am when I saw three bucks and a doe hauling tail through the corn field. They were going opposite the way the rows of corn were planted. It seemed kind of strange that all three bucks would be chasing one doe. Two of the bucks seemed to have nice racks and the last stopped before he went into the thicket. He was a spike. Well a few minutes later I saw what got the deer stirred up, two dogs. I figured I would sit back and watch them ruin my hunt. They ran into the thicket and chased out three does. One ran across the corn field and another ran across the river behind me. The last doe that came out ran right under my stand. The one dog followed the last doe out about twenty yards out of the thicket and ran back in. He came back out with the other dog and got on the same trail as the last doe. It was early and since the rut is on I thought I might as well stay in the stand even though I thought the dogs ran all the deer out. Next thing I know I hear a crashing out of the thicket. I look over and here is this buck taking the same path as the last doe and the dogs grunting the whole way. I got him stopped right under my stand. I took the shot with my crossbow and hit him right in the boiler. He turned around walked back toward the corn field and then headed into the thicket. I waited to make sure he didn't cross the river then went back an hour later. I found him laying twenty five yards into the thicket.
