Guest ronin
Here is a photo of a truck load of hogs my buddies and I ran into last year. I dropped two, instantly, with my Marlin Guide Gun in 45/70. The first hog busted the brush and hit the open field in a sprint that would make a track star proud. I low crawled into the brush for the second.
Guest ronin
Re: 45/70 Fun We have an unlimited season on them here...Fish and game does nothing to manage them and the population really isn't affected much by hunters. We used to be able to buy 5 tags at a time, as often as you wanted, for about 15 bucks. Because our government does absolutely nothing in the management arena, they decided $15 bucks for 5 pigs was just to small of an amount for all of their hard work. They raised it to $15 for a single tag and you guessed...they still do nothing! If you can't tell already...I am bitter!
Elwood
Re: 45/70 Fun Cool, I just picked up a Ruger No. 1 in a 45-70 and love it. What rounds where you shooting? I have tried Win. and PMC so far. Thinking about trying the Conely's hot loads out. Elwood
