tped
Re: cabela\'s bound So did you survive. I made the mistake of going there on Monday. Crowdest I ever saw it and so many rude and ignorant people - I got pissed off and left without buying anything. Fortunately I only live about 45 minutes away so will try again tomorrow evening. Need to claim a couple vouchers they have by the 8th or I wouldn't bother. They are not cheap at that store. Better deals can be had elsewhere. More a tourist trap than anything. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, i made the mistake last year of going on Presidents Day. FIgured it was one of the "little" holidays and wouldn;t be busy..............boy was I WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never gonna stop anywhere near a holiday from now on. Best time to go is during the weekday or 2-3 hrs before closing- especially on a Sunday eve. I have to drive by Cabelas every time we visit my folks(literally- I go by that exit on I-78). Usually time the return trip to hit hamburg about 2-3 hrs before closing!!!!!!!!!! tped
Re: cabela\'s bound The place is awesome. have to knw what you are buying to know if getting a good deal. Have to agree in that whoever thought of how to set up checkout lines wwas an idiot.Lines backed up into the clothing sections where people now can't look at things due to the people standing in line - absolutle choas. On th epositive side I was back last night and they were selling Remington 700BDL stainless in 300SAUM for $469 so I just had to buy one. Most of their gun prices are way too high but occassionally you find a sale.
EIGHTPOINT
Re: cabela\'s bound You have to pick the times to go. Stay away from major season openers like trout and or deer seasons. The place goes bonkers . I like to go on week nights and sundays towards closing. Very relaxing to walk around an just look at all the stuff. Everytime I go I see someting different and living only 45 minutes away I've been there a couple dozen times since it opened. Cabela bucks are a wonderful thing. The wife uses the credit card and I get free stuff. If they sold burial plots out front I'd buy one of those to.
