Guest J_Owens_66
Got a new gun a little before christmas and haven't gotten around to realtree in a bit, but im here now . I got a Kimber 84M Classic, wood stock (beautiful). Its a .308. Gun is super light, 5.5 pounds w/o scope, and a little under 6.5 w/ scope. The amazing thing is it is a wood stock, and it has a 22 inch barrel, thin though. The action is as smooth as silk, mauser type cut down for lightness, winchester 3-position wing saftey. The recoil pad, pacmyer (not sure how to spell this), is awesome, it takes alot of the kick out of the light gun. The Kimber wears a Burris Fullfield II 3-9X40 w/ butler creek flip caps. If you can hold the gun steady, hard to do at such a light weight, it will shoot MOA with Winchester 150 grain Power Points. I really like my new gun, as far as a production type of gun, as far as i know, this would be as close to custom as you can get. I have already dropped a couple of does with it, farthest being 253 yards. Got the .308 because of versatility, it will take most game in the USA. No need for a magnum, just good bullet placement, and that elk, moose, deer, or bear is going down. Thanks for listening to me ramble on. Hope you all had as good a Christmas as I did.
