Guest buddy ahart
Im just getting into goose hunting now and ive gone a few times and used my freinds calls. I was wondering if anyone had a brand of calls that worked best for geese. I went out to cabelas today and purchased a Echo canda goose call and its ok but i would like to get a few more cause i guess they make differnt calls for differnt sounds. Any info on calls and calling would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Justin
double_drop
Re: tips and tricks I actually don't have that all of an expensive calls. I mainly use my hammer call from HS and my hammer 2 call from buck gardner. Both are around 20 bucks a piece and are short reeds. I have a half breed by tim grounds and also a paralyizer by fred zink but still seem to use the cheap calls most of the time.

lil hunter
Re: tips and tricks I have the Tim Grounds half breed also. I really like it. Another good brand to look into would be winglock. They make some great calls for decent prices.
dogdoc
Re: tips and tricks I purchased an Illusion short reed goose call about a month ago. It came with an instructional CD and I think I've become pretty good with it. I like to watch the goose hunting shows on TV and I get out my call and try to mimic the calls I hear on TV. I would recommend starting with a short reed instead of a flute. good luck todd
gitcha_some
Re: tips and tricks Sean Manns calls are the best out there, totally worht the money...i think his express calls are only around like 50 bucks now
clayman
Re: tips and tricks Lohmann calls are the best. Primos calls are the best. Faulks calls are the best. RNT and Quackhead calls are the best. Duck Commander calls are the best. Big Guys Calls are the best. Haydel's calls are... Flextone calls are... Zink Calls are... Echo Calls are... But my all time favorite...Nothing beats the Blue Lips Sugar Booger double reed flute cackle wailer. Ask twelve guys for call advice and you'll get twelve different answers. Some blow easier, some blow louder, some blow sweeter, and well, some just blow. It just doesn't matter what anyone else likes. Fact is, it doesn't matter what call you blow if you don't know how to use it - there's no "magic flute" out there. Find one you like and practice, practice, practice.
