Tony
Re: Hoyt it shot ok. i found it slightly noisey and heavy and draw length specific. which means it only fits your draw length. if you ever want to get rid of it you have to find someone in your draw length.. and it sure isnt even close to a Hoyt Ultratec for sure. Guest Dub
Re: Hoyt I shot one the other day and gave the guy half down to order mine. I went with the Trycon XL. I will be putting another QAD Ultra Rest on it....a camo model this time, I believe. This is the best hunting rest I've ever used. I currently have a 2005 Protec that I love. I wanted another bow tuned for the same arrows so I could carry with as a back up bow for some out of state hunts next year. Hoyts are very, very high quality bows. Their limbs and limb pockets are rock solid and whisper quiet. The new TryconXL parrallel limbs is an even smoother recoiling bow than my Protec. I can't see me switching away from Hoyt. I'm hard to fit in a bow...longer draw and I love that Hoyt offers 80Lb versions....few others do. There are some really great bows out there by many of the manufacturers, but Hoyt offers models that fit my needs best and they do so with very high quality offerings. They've got my business locked up for the next eon!!!!
ultratec1
Re: Hoyt Shot one the other day and I must say that I was wishy washy about it. The weight isn't as bad as everyone thinks and the draw specific thing is not a big deal for resale. THe speed was not impressing but it was not even close to being maxed out. Still had 9 pounds to go. All I can say is it is a ten times better then some ol' junk ultra-tec.

Tony
Re: Hoyt Bowjoe , dont let Ultratec 1 bother you . hes confused as to what he wants to shoot. one time its a Mathews , Ultratec , then its a Vtec , then a Xtec , then an UltraElite. oh by the way he shoots an UltraElite for indoor target. and pretty good i might add. its just that when he sees a new bow he just has to have it. he has money to burn. Ultratec 1 just buy a new Trykon , you know you want one. plus it looks like your Mathews you used to shoot. im sure that you remember that dont you ? the Ultratec is a proven winner for Hoyt, along with there Protec and Elite series of bows. in my book the Trykon has a lot of proving to do to convince me its going to be as good as these others.. ultratec1
Re: Hoyt Bowjoe - I just like to take shots at Tony whenever I can. If I don't then he'll get me. Now come on tony when you put it like that it makes it look like I'm always switching bows. I loved my Ultra-tec when I had it but there is always something new to try. I won't be buying a trykon anytime soon, thats for dang sure. If I do buy any other bow it will be a ultra-elite for 3-d.
