JPGS22
Well, I'm getting married soon and the wife (soon to be) wants to buy me a gun. I can't choice between three. There all .270 but it's between the Browning A-bolt, Ruger M77, or the Winchester Model 700 feather weight. Anyone have one, or anything about them. Thanks. wtnhunt
Re: which gun to choice Of those three, I would probably also choose the A-bolt.
AJ
Re: which gun to choice Its personal preferance. Any of they will serve you well. Me personally, I have never been a Ruger fan. I don't like the investment cast receivers. I have seen quite a few of their actions with some huge tolerances. I also do not like the angled action screws. It makes getting a good bedding job harder. I do like the lines of the gun though. Overall no thanks. I feel Browning guns are overrated for the price. Not that they are bad guns, just too expensive for what you get. I have never liked the lines of the A-Bolt. I like the Winchester 70 out of the three you have listed. The Win 70 is a proven action design and the Classic with its controlled round feed is popular worldwide. It has nice lines and its easy to get custom stocks if you ever desire to do so. 1. Winchester 70 2. Browning A-Bolt 3. Ruger

kooter
Re: which gun to choice i have only owned the a bolt and it was a very good gun. It shot groups that u could cover with a quarter at 100yards.
Guest J_Owens_66
Re: which gun to choice I am a huge ruger fan, but i think winchester will be your best shooter. It has the most aftermarket features, and the coolest safety (3 position wing). Not that it matters about the safety, but i think it would be the fastest one to click to the fire posistion.
