Guest deerhntnwithdogs
Hi guys Im happy to be apart of this forum. I created my own forum for doghunters too so I know what it takes to run one and to have so many people on this one the mods definetly have my respect and I know you guys work hard on it. By the way I was wondering (and Im not starting a debate on ethics here) does anybody else on here besides me deer hunt or fox hunt with hounds? I love to hear the music and was wondering if anybody else did.

buckee
Re: New user Welcome to the Realtree forums. I did a little deer hunting with dogs when I was younger, in Ontario, but we were using the hunters dogs that were camped down the lake from us...LOL. We would just make sure we were all set up before daybreak back around the beaver ponds, and when they let there hounds loose, they would run the deer right past us. Of course it was all crown land back there and there was no chance of running the dogs on private property like today. It illegal here in British Columbia, but we use dogs for cougar here. It's really the only way to hunt cougar, if you want one.
Guest deerhntnwithdogs
Re: New user We do that for alot of still hunting clubs on purpose were we hunt but most of them are poor and they just want the meat or need it.

Guest deerhntnwithdogs
Re: New user Yes sir they are good for that. My buddy has a bloohound for just that reason to track down deer he kills still hunting or doesnt drop or whatever that thing is nasty. I know of occasions where hes tracked down a deer on a 5 day old wet track it rained from right before he killed it untill they found it 5 days later haha that dog is awesome. I love all hounds though I just love to hear them sing haha
