Refs introduce 10 new rules! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) A perfectly executed on-side kick is illegal! 2) You are not allowed to touch Chris Leak, ever...nope not even that much... Yes he slides every play...don't think about it! 3) Umpires are allowed to pick off Iowa wide-outs! Drop back into coverage...wham-o! Oh yes refs are part of the field, but you have to give that zebra credit it was a perfect pick 10 yards in front of the goal-line! Bravo! Way to use that big ol' booty!! 4) Florida can play with 12 guys on the field. Yup. Especially when that 12th guy is right in front of the ref and 4 yards from the side-line! 5) When you tackle someone you get a penalty. 6)If someone grabs your face mask and throws you to the ground, the penalty is on you. 7)If the QB is 20yds behind the line of scrimmage, but still within the tackle box, and throws the pass away it is not intentional grounding. How bout rounding up to 1st downs. If you are within a yard or two, we'll just give you a 1st down due to good effort! 9)We don't review close plays like...When Hinkel was nearly two to three yards inbounds leaping for the catch. Then clearly pushed out. 10) And last...my favorite..."disconcerting calls". Please do not try to confuse the Gators by talking. Like golf..."quiet please." Has anyone else ever heard of this before today??? Funny how they were in Florida and they were introduced down there while the other team was from florida as well. You see the team that wins is the one that "pays-off" the officials after the game.......out-back. This also explains why when you watch "southern" college football games, the coach is always surrounded by State Troopers...............he's got the cash. So if your worried about the integrity.............don't.....it's been gone for years. If your upset about the money it cost you.......don't feel like the Lone-Ranger. If your upset that the Hawkeyes broke your heart again..................you should be used to it......... At least you'll have a new coach next year. He said today he doesn't have any plans on leaving Iowa. As far as breaking hearts they really don't much one of the teams that have been to the rose bowl the most. The fact that the calls were so horrible and cleary unfair then I have a serious problem. I honestly hope that the refs of that game will NEVER ref again. Easy double drop, I don't like it any more then you, but it's not all on the refs, which is harder then you think. We could have played better, plain and simple. But they didn't give up and showed good for the second half. We can be proud of that. We're not sitting to bad for 06 , keep that in mind, GO HAWKS! What does that have to do with the state of Florida or the south? Maybe you should give someone in that conference a call and vent your frustrations, instead of insulting people who had nothing to do with it. It can't be changed, so we have to get over that. Could Iowa have won sure. Did Iowa get screwed by the refs yes. So did Iowa have a 100% fair chance to win, no. But Florida still won the game and we can't go back and change it. Just have to deal with it. What I am really trying to say is that after the but kicking they got beat by Iowa last year, they had to do something to beat Iowa this year. And that was pay the refs.
