Idaho_ Elk_ Huntr
I have another new Remington LSS. Should I just bed the action? Pillar bed it? Both? Do you think I should free float the barrel or leave the pressure points there? Thanks!!!
AJ
Re: How should I bed my gun?? I float the barrel, pillar, and bed the recoil lug and action. Occasionally I will bed the chamber area of the barrel. I have not had this method not work to get guns shooting good groups. With the adjustable pillars on the market now, its fairly easy to do. I used to like the pillar to conform to the lines of the action, but now, I just use flat pillars and good metal filled epoxy. Its just as good. Just be sure the job is stress free and you are good to go.
