ok so today i was permanitly laid off / fired from my job because of lack of work. i was offered relocation packages to work with the same company in columbia, SC ft worth, TX phoenix, AZ and carlisle, PA. If i move i want to go to a place where i will be able to enjoy hunting and fishing like i do here in michigan. so if someone from the respective places let me know what it is like i would appreciate it. thanks for any help. i have 2 weeks to make a decision

Re: need help!!!

If you still want to hunt and fish you can do that in all those states. I was stationed in Phoenix For awhile and there is hunting within an hour north for ELk, Mule deer, Mountain lion and there are plenty of rivers around to fish on but it gets REALLY HOT there like around 120 in the summer. if you want the 4 season SC and PA would be good. I was also stationed around the Dallas area for awhile too and TX has fishing and hunting too. You can hunt and fish in all the places.

Re: need help!!!

Here's some information on Pennsylvania hunting. [LINK] I love the hunting here. Looking forward to elk hunting one these years. I also enjoy the whitetail hunting. I managed meat on the table every year now for the past 3 years. There also are some nice bucks out there, just have to be patient and hope it's your lucky day that you can take a shot at one. Best deer hunting imo is towards western PA more. I live in south central and just rent a cabin at a state park in northwestern PA to hunt at instead of doing it locally. I also get permission to hunt at one of the military bases around here too each year, though it's shotgun/archery hunting only, no rifles at the military base.

Here is some information on Pennsylvania fishing. [LINK] I enjoy the fishing in PA quite a bit. I'm a big fan of Walleye fishing. Also like catfish, smallmouth, and trout fishing, too.

Our climate around here is 4 distinct seasons. Summers can get hot, winters cold, and spring and fall are a nice medium. Here is also a link to the website for our state. [LINK]
