Guest deldeer
bought a new loggy bayou "mega-transformer" treestand, have'nt used it hunting yet, however... the stand is very light, is fast & very quiet to set up, folds flat too!!!!...im really impressed so far, will take it hunting this weekend....i bought a summit viper earlier this year, it was easy to use & comfy, but it was too heavy, & it did'nt fold flat & i found it awkward to carry through the woods....the alum. folding summit would be nice, but cost too much, so thats why i went back to a loggy....... snapper
Re: loggy bayou I have an older loggy climber and thought about a newer model. I haven't found another climber stand that locks on the tree like my old loggy. Not the most comfy, but I'll sacrafice that for safety. Guest deldeer
Re: loggy bayou took the loggy this weekend....i made the right choice buying one, well worth the money...it was very quiet, & quick to set up, it was everything they advertise...i sat in it for 5 hours, totally comfortable...the only draw back is the cables seem thin, but it did'nt present a problem....a good buy at $219. snapper
Re: loggy bayou Hmmmmm...does it mark up the tree at all? Not sure if the "new" loggy climber I seen was the same one your talking about. But the one I seen looked like the teeth would dig in and mark up the tree. Just curious...I'm still considering a new climber and really am happy with my old Loggy.
AJ
Re: loggy bayou I don't know Snap, the new ones are sort of like Summit Climbers. They are not like the old Loggy climbers. The web page says the teeth are tree friendly. That means they slip on wet bark I guess. They are definately not the Spur System Loggy had. Guest deldeer
Re: loggy bayou aj would be correct, it is like the summit, but much lighter, & a snap to set up.....no it won't slip on wet trees, man, i can't say enough about it, very pleased....
