oo_buck
I sat earlier at my computer, reading a post about tanning beds. In the post it mentioned cancer, as do a LOT of other posts. I am not making light of cancer, as it is a Serious thing. I've known many people in my life, who have fought it head on. Some of them beat it, others didn't. That being said, here is a list of things that have been "shown" to cause cancer: Smoking and Chewing..... Drinking (alcohol, or soft drinks, especially diet) The food you eat The air you breath Your proximity to power lines Microwave Ovens The Sun / Tanning beds Sex Genetics The houses we live in Numerous household chemicals The cars we drive The list could go on nearly forever..... The simple truth is: If you are alive you are at risk of dying from cancer. In short, if you eat, drink and breathe, you are exposing yourself to something that can cause cancer. Please do not misunderstand. I am NOT advocating taking up smoking, drinking, or other HIGH RISK activities. But by all means, DO NOT quit eating what you want (within reason), going outside, using microwaves, etc..... Life is short. When your time is up, it's not gonna really matter what you ate for dinner, or if you have a good tan. It's not gonna matter whether or not your parents or grandparents had cancer. It's not gonna matter if you grew up in a house that had asbestos siding. You will die, maybe from cancer, maybe not. I am only suggesting this. If you live your life avoiding ALL of the things that reportedly cause cancer you will not eat, drink, or breathe. If you don't do any of those three things, you're gonna die a whole lot quicker than if you get cancer. Now, if you will all excuse me, I am going outside without sunscreen, take a deep breath of diesel exhaust filled air, and wait on my processed food to be heated up in the microwave. Right after I finish my diet soda filled with at least a couple of dozen carcinogens. Live your lives. Good Day. Let the flaming begin....
