Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: Game Forecasts?? I've used Solunar Tables for many years. Assuming all other things (weather, outside influences, etc) being equal, I've found them to be pretty reliable. The best use I've found for these types of forecasts from a hunting standpoint is for varmints. The predators really seem to be on the move during the "best days" and especially during the "peak times". But I still hunt whenever I can, even if it's listed as a bad day. Guest Andrea
Re: Game Forecasts?? Well a cold front just moved thru here last night. Bringing the temps from a igh of 75 to a whopping 45. Overnight lows tonight are to be in the 20's. It's overcast now. Supposed to be clear in the a.m. To me.....that's a good recipe for rutting bucks. Regardless of the table. I look at them every now and then. Sometimes they match up, other times no. Hope it's right for tomorrow anyway.
ksbowhntr77
Re: Game Forecasts?? I started paying attention to them this year to see how close or "true" they were and believe it or not the game movement, for me at least, has been within an hour or so of what they had listed. But there have been times when the activity was to be high and I didn't see anything. For the most part they have been pretty good for me. It helps me manage my time in the woods a little better. I have always played it the same as you, but am looking into it a bit more now myself? [/ QUOTE ] Been looking at this one provided by RealTree. It was completely wrong for Saturday morning. The weather conditions were perfect but I didn't see or even hear anything. However.............it was right for Sunday afternoon. And though it wasn't cold out..the wind was howling and I figured I wouldn't see anything. But I saw 5 does. Came right under me. I was sure I was fixin to be busted. rockefeller66
Re: Game Forecasts?? I used to be that was years ago, now I just go whenever I can, don't really have time to pick when to go or not.
wtnhunt
Re: Game Forecasts?? I have looked at the tables some and seen no regular consistency with the times they figure are the most optimum for movement and when I actually see movement.
