This buck must have fought all the time. I shot him in early December but haven't posted any pics of him til now. I searched for this buck for a day and could never find him. 2 days later I was following a yote on the fourwheeler. I came up to a ravine and looked down.......you guessed it my stomach sank. There he was. I was sick for a week over losing him. I did tag him and he was my Texas buck for the year. Only thing left was the head and spine. Here is a pic of his rack.

Anyway the thing that bothers me most was that my daughter was with me and I wanted for her to help me recover this dude so bad. Anyway she got to sit with me when I took a doe the next day and WE did recover it. He would have been a 10 possilby 11 point if all horns were still intact. Both browtines were broken, right G1, G3.

Re: He was a fighter!!!!

Looks like he had been fighting pretty hard. Know how you feel about not finding him before the yotes, the same thing happened with my 9 year old daughters first deer back at the end of October. I found hers when I went back and looked after hearing some yotes in the area we stopped looking. The deer was piled up on the other side of some thick brush no more than 15 yards from where I had stopped looking. Does not take coyotes long to find a deer.
