Guest bownut
Re: cold weather question I do notice a bit of difference when the temp drops. I am guessing, but it would seem that if you have rubber type dampeners and stabilizers they will stiffen up a bit in the cold contributing to the louder bow noise. ScottyLuck
Re: cold weather question I haven't noticed any difference in my bows. Make sure your Outback is still in spec. An out of spec bow will be louder.

hoyt_hunter
Re: cold weather question i havent noticed, but bownut could be right, the rubber dampeners could harden up and make your bow louder

VtBowhunter
Re: cold weather question Any bow is louder the colder it gets. The limbsavers and other rubber parts, harden in the cold, and are unable to perform properly.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes the rubber does harden some but if the bow is set up to spec, especially his Outback (I know, I've had 2) it shouldn't be a noticable difference in sound. My Outbacks and my XT are no louder now than when I shoot in the warmer months.
